PRESENT CONTINUOUS THEORY-greek



PRESENT CONTINUOUS – PROGRESSIVE – ΕΝΕΣΤΩΤΑΣ ΔΙΑΡΚΕΙΑΣ

BE – AM -- IS – ARE = ΕΙΜΑΙ μόνα του.

Am-is-are + verb + ing = verbing = δείχνει ότι κάτι κάνω.

AFFIRMATIVE

I am playing
You are singing
He is sleeping
She is reading
It is eating
We are listening
You are running
They are swimming
NEGATIVE

I am not playing
You are not singing
He is not sleeping
She is not reading
It is not eating
We are not listening
You are not running
They are not swimming
INTERROGATIVE

Am I playing?
Are you singing?
Is he sleeping?
Is she reading?
Is it eating?
Are we listening?
Are you running?
Are they swimming?

  1. a) Για μια πράξη που γίνεται NOW….
We are having a lesson.
The children are playing in the garden.

b) Για μια πράξη που είναι προσωρινή
         I am living in Athens.
        Tom is looking for a job. – Αυτό το καιρό.

  1. για μια πράξη που έχει προγραμματιστεί να γίνει στο κοντινό μέλλον.
Προσωπικό πρόγραμμα.
He is leaving on Monday.
I am going to the University tomorrow.

BUT!!! – He is leaving. – Now



3.  Για μια πράξη που επαναλαμβάνεται – ( always, constantly, repeatedly)
Που με ενοχλούν….
      She is always talking in the class.
He is always borrowing my books.

    Όταν ο Present continuous  χρης, για μια πράξη  που
      δείχνει  συνήθεια, η οποία κανονικά εκφράζεται με τον present simple, σημαίνει ότι η πράξη μας ενοχλεί, δείχνει ένα συναίσθημα εκνευρισμού, δείχνει αγανάκτηση, δυσαρέσκεια.

John always eats eggs for breakfast – habit – simple present
συνήθεια εσκεμμένα

John is always eating eggs for breakfast
δηλώνει ότι αυτή η συνήθεια του μας εκνευρίζει, τη βρίσκουμε υπερβολική.


He gets up at 6 o’clock every morning to have breakfast. - Simple present
συνήθεια εσκεμμένα

He is always getting up at 6 o’clock to have breakfast. - τη βρίσκουμε υπερβολική

NON-CONTINUOUS VERBS – μερικά ρήματα δεν έχουν continuous tenses – περιγράφουν κατάσταση και όχι δραστηριότητα.
